About
A Nordic network for RBC disorders
Founded in 2024 to strengthen collaboration in clinical care, education and research across the Nordic countries.
The Nordic RBC Group is a scientific and educational network founded in 2024 to strengthen collaboration in RBC disorders across the Nordic countries. The group brings together clinicians, nurses, researchers and other healthcare professionals with an interest in hereditary anaemias, haemoglobinopathies and related RBC disorders.
The aim is to improve clinical care, diagnostics, education and research collaboration. The group also provides a forum for sharing knowledge on national and regional pathways, clinical trials, guidelines, patient support, screening programmes and emerging treatments.
The Nordic RBC Group is supported by TIF and welcomes healthcare professionals from all Nordic countries with an interest in RBC disorders.
Why a Nordic network?
Many RBC disorders are rare in the Nordic countries, and clinical experience may be concentrated in relatively few centres. A Nordic network can help make expertise more accessible, support professional exchange and strengthen collaboration in research and education.
